Both rare and exquisite, Kea plums are shaken from the trees into a boat and used to create the most divine and dark rich jam. The perfect accompaniment to our cream tea!
Over 400 years ago, Kea plums were discovered growing beside a remote tidal creek on the Tregothnan estate. Unique to Cornwall, the plums thrive on just 20 acres of land lining the Fal estuary.
Tregothnan is working to protect these ancient orchards and to secure Protected Designation of Origin status for the Kea plum species.
Supplied in a traditional glass jar, our Kea plum jam is dairy free and suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Ingredients: Kea plums, sugar and citric acid.
"I had my eye on this jam for a while, as plums are my favourite fruit, and ordered some for a treat. It arrived today and the flavour is exquisite, complex and rich. It cheered up this wet January day and we ate it with scones. This is my new favourite jam and I will definitely be ordering some more!" - Emily Joachim
